Mark your calendars! Our all-school international potluck and concert is coming!  It's our largest and most festive event, where the entire school gathers to share a meal and then watch our students perform. Last year there were over 700 people, and dishes from far and wide filled the tables with good food.

 

Flavors from around the world! We encourage everyone to bring a dish from another culture or your favorite recipe. Really wow us! It can be an appetizer, main course, salad, or dessert.

 

Zip-line! This year the food tables will each feature a complete meal, so you won't have to wait in line for ever - just go to any of the potluck tables and dig in! We'll be sitting down to eat much faster this year than before.

 

Concert! After the potluck dinner, we will enjoy international musical performances by our students. 

 

See it again! A professional DVD of the evening's performances will be available for a donation, so you can sit back and enjoy the performances instead of watching them through the view finder of your camcorders. Please do consider purchasing a DVD as this is how the event is funded.

 

Liked it? Cook it! Last year we published the JSIS Cookbook for the first time, and we would love to continue to add to it - if you can, bring the recipe for your dish! And if you don't have a cookbook yet, please do get one, they are only $10 and the dishes are excellent.

 

PLEASE HELP! Lot of volunteers are needed to set up the tables and also to take them down. If you're able to help, please contact Jane Rowley (rowley_jane@yahoo.com) our amazing volunteer coordinator and she'll get you going. Barb Burrill (barb@raaen.com) our energetic recycling coordinator will also need lots of help.

 

Come and enjoy! This is the school's largest event! Last year we had an attendance of over 700 people. It will be a fun-filled, multicultural evening when everyone can enjoy flavors from places all around the world. We hope you can come. Moreover, we hope you can volunteer as well. Please try to work out a schedule with your family, so you can spare a little time to help at the dinner. We will need your help to make this year's International Dinner a great success!
