PTSA membership is offered to every JSIS family and all families are welcome and encouraged to join.  Your membership directly supports the services and programs that the PTSA is able to offer.  It also contributes to the work done by the larger organizations at the local (Seattle Council) and state (Washington PTA) levels. 

Here are just a few examples of your PTSA membership dollars at work:

• Teacher grants, stipends, and training:  for example, last year we funded a number of our English teachers to attend the Writer's Workshop
• Move-A-Thon, Monster Mash, the International Dinner, Japan Night and La Fiesta Latina
• Field trip buses, the 5th grade trip, After-school activities, the Student Directory
• Book fairs, JSIS wear, The Wallingford Yard Sale Tour, Pre-paid grocery cards
• First day of school donuts, coffee hour every Friday

At the start of each year, you are asked to renew your membership.  However, you may do so at any time as membership envelopes are always available on the "Powered By You" bulletin boards.  Membership dues are $12.00 for individuals or $20.00 for families.  Scholarships are available.
